Review Rampart Range Recreation Area
by iconofcoolness

Rampart Range Recreational Area is covered with trails that branch from the main route in nearly all directions for miles and miles. Rampart Range Road is actually just a motorcycle trail on it's extreme Northern end whereas the Southern end starts in the beautiful Garden of the Gods Park where only licensed vehicles are permitted to drive for about the first 30 miles or so. The remaining 40 miles or so are restricted to off-road motorcycles. The total length of Rampart Range Road itself is about 60 to 70 miles depending on which branch you take. The scenery is beautiful and the many trails that extend from the main Rampart Range Road trail make this a place that I believe would be very difficult to traverse all in one visit. Along the trail there are some open spots where someone could easily pull over and rest and not be in someone else's way. You could even picnic there with the right supplies of course. There are even some other areas where there are obstacles like whoops and small jumps and such along many of the various routes. It really is one of those places you go simply get away and ride in the woods for relaxation or whatever you feel you need to do when riding an area like this. I would say that for the minimal cost of a donation at the entry this is definitely not your typical riding area. It's well worth the money and the time.
