American Bluegrass Championship Series: Round 7

Round 7 of the American Bluegrass Championship Series at West Kentucky Motocross in Cunningham, one of Kentucky's largest and longest running motocross tracks, established 1989. Sunday, August 23 is race day. Gates open at 6 AM, sign up runs 6:30 to 8:30, the riders meeting is at 7:45 AM, practice starts at 8 AM for two laps, Moto 1s go off at 9:15 AM and Moto 2 at 12:30 PM. The weekend opens Friday, August 21 with gates open 4 PM to 10 PM. Saturday, August 22 is a practice day: gates open at 8 AM, practice runs 10 AM to 4 PM, and gates close at 10 PM. Transponders are used for this series and rentals are available at $20 per round. Call or text the track on (270) 705-7139. IMPORTANT, posted Friday, August 21: the track and the surrounding Lowes community were hit by a tornado and damaging winds late Wednesday night. The track and grounds are in order and racing is going ahead, but Brad and the power company are finishing the roadway into the track and restoring power. The track is asking riders NOT to arrive before 4 PM Friday. If you are already on the road they understand, but if you have not left yet, hold off and come in when the gates open at 4 PM.
