Dark Horse MX in Smithville is the East Austin rider's coaching destination, 30 acres a half hour out of town with two tracks tuned for skill drills as much as moto laps. Open Wednesday through Sunday with Dirt Lab Coaching on-site running technique work, section drills, race simulation, and moto games for any level. Used to be private; now a public training facility. Easy day trip from Austin, San Marcos, or Bastrop.
